You can delete your Readnite account at any time. This page explains how to submit a deletion request, what data is removed, and what may be retained.

How to Delete Your Account

The fastest way is directly from the app:

1. Open Readnite on your device.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Manage Account.
4. Tap Permanently delete account and follow the on-screen steps.

If you no longer have access to the app, email support@readnite.com with the subject line "Delete my account" and include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following is permanently removed:

• Your Readnite account and login credentials.
• All books and files stored in cloud sync (Cloudflare R2).
• Your reading progress, bookmarks, annotations, and highlights stored in the cloud.
• All library metadata associated with your account.

What Is Retained

• Purchase and subscription records are retained by RevenueCat, our payment processor, as required for billing and legal compliance. These records are governed by RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
• Books and data stored only on your device (not synced to the cloud) are not affected by account deletion. You can remove these by uninstalling the app.
• Crash reports and pseudonymous analytics events (Sentry and PostHog) are automatically deleted after their limited retention period; you can request earlier removal via support@readnite.com.

Retention Period

All account and cloud data is permanently deleted within 30 days of your request being confirmed.
